Los Corales Beach Apartment – Romantic Retreat

The host is wonderful in every regard. He arranged for transportation from and to the airport. His staff greeted us and gave us an overview of the apartment and the area and could not have been friendlier. Whenever we had any problems or questions, the host immediately responded and was willing to do everything in his power to make us happy, including being flexible about our check out time and providing more filtered water upon request. That being said, I would not recommend this apartment to friends who are visiting the DR. It makes me sad to say this because the host is so welcoming and the location is absolutely ideal. It is directly on the beach and could not be more convenient. The beach chairs and umbrellas are included as well, along with towels that are changed every 3 days. The problem is the state of the apartment which desperately needs updating. The bedrooms are nice, but you won't see photos of the kitchen or bathroom which are both in states of disrepair. The most unfortunate part was a terrible smell of sewage that comes from the bathroom area and is very strong in the bedroom next to the bathroom. It made it very unpleasant to sleep there. Because of the state of the kitchen, it's not the kind of place you would want to eat meals. We ate all of our meals out (with the exception of breakfast). As long as we were outside, we were happy, but we did not want to spend any more time than we had to inside the apartment. The building itself is great and perfectly located. When we checked in, the apartment was not clean, but the host immediately sent a cleaning crew and also sprayed for mosquitos and provided candles since it had recently rained and the apartment was full of mosquitos. That took care of the mosquito problem, so were very grateful. It also addressed the dirty plates and utensils. With no dishwasher, it's difficult to get anything clean because you need to be very careful not to drink the water. The host does provide filtered water for drinking, which is great! All in all, I would recommend this apartment only if you spend all your time on the beach and only use it for sleeping (not enjoying meals). Even then, you need to overlook the state of the kitchen and bathroom and tolerate a bad odor (like sewage) in the bathroom and back bedroom. One final note: it's on the ground floor and often noisy at night. If you are sensitive to this, it's probably not for you.

The location of this place can't be beat! It is literally a minute away from the ocean which is just a big plus and the main reason we chose it. It made up for a lot of what I am about to share below. I should also note that the host was very communicative during the booking process and his contact person, Anna, was very hospitable and attentive during our stay. Niko, the maintenance person was wonderful as well. During our 3 day stay we had several issues though. On the first day there was some sort of neighbor dispute that got REALLY UGLY and we wound up right in the middle of that fight because a neighbor left her car double parked and we could not get into our spot. It sucked because she saw us, left to go to her own place and get away from the conflict, left us right in the middle and we basically had to wait for her to come back and move her car. That night we also had issues turning on the stove as it is a really old model. We turned on the gas, could hear it running but could not get it to light. The wonderful Niko showed up and showed us the trick to it, but unfortunately it delayed our dinner even more, right after being delayed because of the fight. The second day, we lost power (which yes, it's not that rare in the DR) but it lasted about 4 hours and delayed eating plans yet again (we had brought groceries and were going to eat in during our stay - another reason we chose a place with a kitchen). When the power went off we also lost water and that one was gone for about 6 hours. We were uncomfortable for hours covered in sand and such and not being able to even rinse off. We did talk to the host's contact person for this trip throughout all of this and we are aware that some of these things are out of their control. Despite their best intentions and politeness these issues were a big inconvenience and we had to spend a lot of our time there dealing with them.

Vaisily was a wonderful host! The apartment was clean, right on the beautiful beach and exactly like the pictures! Vaisily and Alex were very helpful in coordinating wonderful excursions and transportation to and from the airport for us. The excursions were so wonderful and we made memories of a lifetime. The area is perfect, too. It was quiet and within walking distance to wonderful restaurants. The apartment opens up right onto the beach and it's a stunning neighborhood. We would absolutely come back and stay here !!!

This is a sweet place to stay, write on the beach . The view is beautiful, you can lay in the bed and stare at the water , or walk out the sliding doors right on to the sand.. Well worth it !

Great place to stay in Playa Bavaro/ Punta Cana. Literally next to the beach and the neighborhood has many dining and drinking options. I’m glad I listened to Alex’s (caretaker) recommendations for dinner and drinks. Spot on and local knowledge is key. The photos are accurate and the beach is amazing. You won’t be disappointed!!!

The place is very close to everything... come out of the unit and there you are at the beach. And just few minutes walk stores and restaurants are all around the place.. very lovely location.

Amazing location, hosts provide everything you can think of. Excursions were so easy to get and at a good price. The BEACH is right outside your door. Wow!

The apartment looked just like the pictures! A quiet and private neighborhood. The beach was literally steps away from the apartment. There were stores and restaurants within walking distance (5-7 minute walk). From booking until check out Vasiliy’s staff was there to help. The team arranged transportation and gave me suggestions and tips. I will let everyone know how great our stay was.

Very nice and safe location, close to restaurants and the beach. Make sure to stop at the supermarket and get a few things before you get there. Would be Nice if a few bottles of water and toiletries were included. Other than that everything was great!

Vaisily was a great host. Very understanding and accommodating since we booked literally at the last minute during troubling times because of the hurricane. His team made sure we had a place to stay and that we were happy which I was grateful for. We stayed a two of his units during our stay. Good value for money. His place is steps away from the nicest beach in punta cana. There are loads of local eateries near by so you don't need a car really. However if you care to explore the area you definitely need a rental car.

We stayed for a week in the apartment it was a great choice. The apartment is literally infront of the beach , in my opinion it's the best beach in the area white sandy just amazing we had wonderful view . Its clean , accessible to restaurants within few minutes walking ! Vasiliy and his staff were super helpful and made everything easy to us . Thanks for a wonderful experience I definitely rent again this apartment:)

Vasiliy was very good with communication and offered to help us book any extracurricular activities that we may have wanted to try. His directions to the apartment were very clear and easy to follow, however, we had an issue with parking because the security guard posted near the apartment told us we weren't allowed to park there, even after showing him our directions in Spanish on the Airbnb app. Once I met with Igor, Vasiliy's assistant, to check in, the guard allowed us to park. The apartment was very comfortable and right off the beach with a very nice view. We very much enjoyed our stay.

The host was INCREDIBLY accommodating in coordinating rides, making suggestions, and just helping in anyway he could to improve our stay. Beautiful property right on the beach next to some really great bars/ restaurants. Would go back in a minute!

I feel compelled to share this review because the type of service rendered from the moment I selected this property has been like no other. Reliable, promptness to anything I did not understand. Any services I requested were not problem " done". I have a return date mid to late august. You know where I will be staying!

I truly recommend this place to anyone. It was an incredible stay. It was clean and comfortable , nit to mention very economical. The view from the main bedroom was incredible ! The host is very hospitable and informative, always making sure we had what we needed. I am so happy that my family was able to stay here. I wouldnt have chosen any other place.

The place is located ona beautiful beach and very close to restaurants. All amenities are easily accessible.The host is very easy to communicate with and offers his help with any questions or issues. Great place for beach vacation...

Vasilys place is a gem! This place is really clean and nice. The beds are super comfortable, ACs work great and blow Cold air! Literally steps away from the beach and there are shops next door. Restaurants and bars to the back and you can even buy a day pass to one of the nearby resorts to use their ammentities. I wish I had seen this place sooner or would have spent my entire trip here.

I really enjoyed my stay at Vasiliy's place it was very conveniently located right on the beach we found plenty of great restaurants in the area within walking distance of the apartment. Vasiliy and his staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs responding in a timely fashion when needed
