Private Resort – Best Punta Cana Family Vacation

Great place. Very safe and friendly staff. Also the restaurants below in the courtyard was excellent. Great first experience in Punta Cana.

It was located in a safe private area near restaurants and shops, about a 20 minute ride to the airport.

Es una casa sencilla, con una excelente ubicación y buena atención por parte sus host. Sin embargo, la propiedad está deteriorada y necesita ser mejorada sobre todo en cuanto a los olores del baño y en cuanto a la calidad de los colchones, sábanas y vajilla. Para competir con hoteles que tienen habitaciones por aproximadamente el mismo precio deben elevar la calidad. El host fue muy agradable pues nos aceptó casi a última hora luego de que tuvimos un inconveniente por una cancelación de último minuto en otra propiedad.

We had a wonderful time staying at Vasiliy's place. Vasiliy was very quick to respond to any questions I had, usually within a few minutes. He also arranged our transportation to and from the airport for a very reasonable price. The location of the villa was probably our favorite part. It was only about a 2 minute walk to the beach, and we had a beautiful view. We could not see the ocean from our place, but it overlooked a very nice courtyard with palm trees all around. We were within a short walk to many great restaurants. Our favorites were Joy and Wacamole, but we tried and liked many others. The place itself was nice in many ways. Very comfortable beds, the open patio upstairs had a great futon to rest on and was a great place to have dinner, and the kitchen was small but had enough pots/dishes/etc. that we were able to cook meals for 7 on nights when we wanted to stay in. The only negative was the the couches on the main area had several stains and quite a few things in the place were broken. I hope to someday get back to Punta Cana, and if we do I would book with Vasiliy again.

Vasiliy's place is amazing. The living space is large and beautifully furnished, with a kitchen, a living room, three balconies, and three bedrooms. It is in a quiet, secluded neighborhood that's only a minute's walk from the gorgeous, white-sand Bávaro beach. There are tons of great bars and restaurants nearby, all very easily accessible on foot (check out Wacamole!). My friends and I -- all young women -- felt very safe the entire trip. Vasiliy was a wonderful host and responded to inquiries in minutes. I highly recommend this AirBnb. You won't regret it! Thanks again Vasiliy!

The house is great, air conditioner on top floor did not work but other than that everything was good. Beds are comfortable and its close to restaurants and many stores.

Vasiliy offered transportation from the airport and when our flight was delayed over 7 hours took care of calling them the changes. It was so nice to be met and delivered straight to the door. The place is very clean and just 3 minutes from the beach, a gorgeous white sand beach with a café on the beach for those tropical drinks and cold beers. If you tell the guys renting chairs you are in Los Corales and show them the key tag you get the chairs gratis. A nice bonus! The kitchen is small but has a blender, coffee maker and toaster along with a microwave- there are 2 restaurants steps from the property and even more within 3 blocks and we used those during our stay. The gated area you stay in has beautiful landscaping and feels a bit like southern Italian architecture. I would recommend if you sleep in the top bedroom to be aware it is noisy at night because of the restaurants but you can close the windows and turn the AC on. We had a great stay and would recommend this to anyone traveling to the Punta Cana area!

We had a wonderful time at Vasiliy's. The house distribution is very private and confortable. The are is very nice and secure, with a beautiful beach close by the house. They have restaurant were we had our breakfast every morning at couple steps of the house (Delicious home made mermelada). Alex when to get us and drive us to the house, he is very friendly and helpful. Explain very well all we need to know about were was the beach, a good supermarket were to shop, local restaurants and bars, etc... Rooms have air conditioners and the electricity we paid separate however was reasonable.... the beds are extremely confortable, the are is very quiet. Is a perfect place for family vacations. We will definitely comeback to Vasiliy property with our eyes close. If you want to spend a nice vacation in a very nice place, with your family or friends these will be the best place.

This is the second time my family has stayed at Los Corales, but the first time we stayed at one of Vasiliy’s properties. I would like to note that we are exceptionally familiar with the area, as well as some of the “quirks” that are just part of life in the Dominican Republic, like occasional water/power outages. Pros: The information in the listing for this property has been updated since the time when we booked it (about 6 months before our arrival), which makes guests aware of important factors that we personally would have liked to have known prior to booking. We understand that listing a property on AirBnb is a learning process, and we appreciate the effort to be more transparent with guests in the future. If you don’t care about an ocean view, this property is fine. Cons: This apartment is farther from the beach than a 3 minute walk. It is much closer to the front gate of the property than the ocean. The day after we arrived, we pointed out several maintenance issues that were mostly resolved, but some that were not. The TVs in the two bedrooms either do not work at all or have very, very poor quality, which is misleading because television with cable is included in the list of amenities. Even so, it’s unreasonable that the issues existed before we arrived and we had to request that they be fixed. The washing machine does not work, and if you want any cleaning other than changed linens every 3 Days, there is a fee. Furthermore, we were told that the ride from the airport would be $35, but were then told the next day that we needed to pay an additional $10 because of a “mix up”. Perhaps the most troubling issue for me as someone who enjoys traveling with AirBnb because it allows me to stimulate the local economies of the places I visit and support local people financially instead of large corporations is how this host portrays local Dominican people. It’s no secret to those who have visited the DR for any period of time that it is an impoverished country and people who are native to the country have to work very hard just to get by. Tourism is huge, and truly the lifeblood of the local economy. It’s also common knowledge that the only people who can afford to buy rental property for the most part are Americans and Europeans who come here to benefit from the tourism industry. I take no issue with that. What I do take issue with is being told that local Dominican people who work selling excursions to tourists like myself are all “pirates” who cannot be trusted because they will cheat you and lie to you. I know from personal experience that among these merchants there are good people who work all day, every day to earn an honest living and who rely on this business to feed their families. Beautiful place and area!

Beautiful view. Careful with the pan handlers and the price gougers. Everything is negotiable. As far as the villa itself, there a few minor annoyances that may or may not bother you. Cheap Ikea furniture with cracked wooden slats on the main beds. They pop out, they fix it. Breaks again, they fix it. Really just needs to replace the wooden slats with steel slats and no problem. Steps may be an issue if your heavy or elderly or handicapped. The washer didn't work but in their defense they washed my clothes, the first-time. Changed the sheets the first time. If you stay more than one night like I did, expect to sleep on your same sandy, sweaty sheets. Unless YOU wash them. They charge 25 dollars to wash sheets. Practically like 21 dollars a day for electricity and water. My suggestion is that u shop around first, and if u can't land a better deal try this one. Hopefully by that time he would have made the repairs.

The location of this apartment is amazing! It is so close to the beach and to town (where there are great restaurants and bars).

House is in amazing place. Next to great restaurant with the best steak on the island! Easy smooth check in with Igor, and help with any small issues. Over all top place, next to the beach and friendly and helpful host. Recommended.

This team of hosts was amazing. They made sure we constantly had everything we needed. Only downside for me was the constant pressure to visit shops from locals on the beach, but that’s not the hosts fault. Overall we had a fantastic trip and I would definitely recommend anyone to stay here.

We loved the location and working with the host. He was very helpful with securing out transportation and with recommendations for food and activities. His staff are all top tier. The facility was spacious and clean and very close to some wonderful cafes! The beach is beautiful and an easy walk. We highly recommend!!

We loved the community. It’s a community full of optional amenities, restaurants, shops. The beach is much closer than expected. Everything was right there, and so convenient. Vasiliy and his staff arranged all of our transportation, which made things very easy. Definitely recommend.

Quaint and quiet getaway

Great treat

Located in a well populated area. Pretty much feels like staying at a resort and the beach is a few minutes walking distance. Highly recommended. The host was awesome and accommodating as well as insightful on the local scene.

My family and I were very pleased at how neat and clean this place was right after a major hurricane. Their customer service was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We highly recommend this place and we plan to come back. Never staying in a hotel again!

The house was amazing and Vasiliy and Igor made sure we were set and comfortable from minute one! . After we booked our first house, which had no issues whatsoever, we were feeling a bit picky and wanted something with more of a beach view. Vasiliy quickly got us moved to a beachfront house without any problems and Igor was there to help with all of the logistics. The views from this house are amazing and one of the best on the beach front that we could see. I would strongly recommend coming here again and working with this group of guys for your next Airbnb in Punta Cana.

Vasiliy and Igor were exceptional host, very attentive. The apartment was as expected for the price, neat but could use an upgrade. The pool area was awesome and the staff was very friendly. I had two other couples with me and they add this additional feedback: The cable TV reception was terrible with much static on all channels in the living room area and the channels were limited, but the internet was exceptional. The old picture tube TV in the back room did not work and the bed was smaller than expected (queen instead of king) for two adults and a baby.

Excellent location and very affordable price! To stay on the budget for an amazing vacation, this is definitively your place.

This house was in a great location, within walking distance of Bavaro beach and many good restaurants and grocery stores. I highly recommend Joy's Popsicle restaurant, for great food and amazing popsicles, just a 1 minute walk from the house. The house was in a gated community with 24-hour security, so it felt safe. The house itself was on the second and third (top) floors of a building. It was very open with lots of open windows, which was nice for sitting outside on the patios to eat and hang out. Everything except electricity was included in the nightly rate, which Vasiliy notes in the description of this house. There were 5 of us staying at the house, and, with air conditioning on every night (~10-12 hours/night), normal electricity, the fan, etc., we averaged $12/day of electricity charges. The assistant will read the meter with you at check-in and check-out, but hopefully that gives you a general estimate of what electricity may cost. Vasiliy, the host, was very attentive and helpful, doing everything he could to make our stay great. I would happily stay at any of his properties again in the future. Thanks again for a great trip!

I was a little nervous about renting through airbnb outside of my country, but It turned out to be great! Vasiliy and his assistant Egor were a wonderful host. They were helpful from the time I booked picking us up and booking our excursions. Any questions were answered right away. I was a little confused from other reviews exactly about the house and the location of the beach. You are in a small gated community. We were upstairs above another apartment but u would not know it bc you have the whole upstairs. Very rarely did you see anyone below you. The beach is just a couple minute walk inside the community but not visible from the house. There is a couple of restaurants around you that has awesome food! Outside the gate u have around a 5-10 min walk to other restaurants and shopping. We ate outside the community in the morning and in the evening never did we feel uncomfortable or threatened. I do not speak Spanish and my husband speaks little. Everyone was very nice and helpful. They have taxis on scooters that sit outside the gates that we had used to take us to ATM that we felt safe with or Vasiliy will provide transportation for you. I will say the locals outside the stores will hound u to buy their stuff. That didn't bother us bc we know that's just how they make their money. U just have to say no thanks and keep walking. Vasiliy charges extra for electricity which is mentioned in the contract. We only turned it on in the bedrooms at night. So 4 nights was around $56. It is hot but wanted the full experience of staying in punta cana! If u are looking to explore more than just around you then I would suggest a rental car. Vasiliy can set that up also. We rented ATV's the last full day and that was the highlight of my boys trip. We rode around town and even found trails off the roads and they were in heaven. Being a girl I was probably a little bit of a Debbie downer but they had a blast! This house was clean and convenient. We usually stay at a resort but It was a great experience to see how the everyday locals live, eat and work. Construction 7 days a week in the HOT sun is crazy!
